This German-born, award-winning, internationally acclaimed performing songwriter got his musical roots from being born into an occupied Germany and fed a rich diet of American and British music. His potpourri of influences include Joni Mitchell, Steely Dan, Peter Gabriel, The Beatles, Pat Metheny, Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Debussy, Earth Wind & Fire, and Eric Clapton , to name a few.
Hans' decision to spend his life as a professional musician was very nearly aborted by disconsolate parents, until his uncle—who had played piano while a prisoner of war—intervened and convinced Hans' parents to let Hans follow his heart.
Please join us on Friday, April 22, to hear the music that has been coming from Hans' heart ever since! Social hour is at 6:30pm; music and revelry begins at 7:30pm.
Our hosts have a lovely home with wonderful couches and a comfortable listening atmosphere in Spotsylvania, Virginia (just a few miles from downtown Fredericksburg).
Hans has been traveling on the road, playing music, having adventures, amassing stories, and meeting really great people for more than 15 months straight!
$15 donation at the door; please also bring a dish to share and/or your favorite beverage for the always-delicious buffet
Some wine and beverages will be provided by the organizers/hosts.
