Many of you may not know that Rachel and Craig had the misfortune of their equipment (much of it brand new) being stolen out of their locked van while performing in Atlanta earlier this year; even with this major setback, they forged on with positivity, borrowing instruments so that they could finish this tour. If you are so inclined, you will find on Rachel's page a link for donating funds to help them rebuild their musical arsenal.
I wanted to let you know that you won't be hearing from me again until early September of this year. A heavy travel schedule for my family means no mid-summer shows in 2011.
So, the next show will be on September 25 with "The Taters"!!!

Please mark your calendars early for this very special show! If you are not familiar with "The Taters", here is their web site: http://www.thetaters.com ;
Craig, Brad, Greg, and new drummer Chris will light up the night with their great mix of roots rock, pop, country, skiffle & Americana, a sound that's been compared favorably to a mixture of Everlys, Orbison, Beatles, and Nick Lowe. (from their website) One of my favorite Virginia-based bands, I guarantee you a real good time!
As always, I am so thankful to each and every one of you for coming to the shows and supporting my efforts during the past five years to bring high-quality music to you in an intimate atmosphere. And, too, a special thanks to the volunteers and hosts who help me bring these shows to you. You know who you are! A special shout-out to Scott Wagner, the sound man extraordinaire who can make a cardboard box sound good if need be, and Emily Barker, who helps me with anything I need. And, of course, my husband, who helps me stay calm and carries heavy things. Hugs all around!
See you in September!
